Morris Music Law provides comprehensive personalized legal services to music professionals such as solo artists, bands, indie record labels, music publishing companies, and film/TV/radio/web/new media entities. Specifically, Morris Music Law provides legal advice and services relating to contracts, copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity, rights of privacy, and business associations. The goal of Morris Music Law is to help clients protect their rights and enable them to establish the most possible revenue from their endeavors.
Jesse E. Morris, Esq., Founder
Jesse E. Morris, Esq. is the owner of the Los Angeles based music law firm, Morris Music Law, PC, where he primarily represents songwriters, artists, producers, managers, labels, publishers, and music-related tech companies. Additionally, Jesse is the founder of Music Law Pro, where he manages and oversees all other attorneys and staff. Jesse is a musician and composer of music himself who has been in several rock acts. Jesse was a co-chair of the LA Chapter of the Copyright Society, and has spoken at events for UCLA, USC, the Association of Independent Music Publishers, California Lawyers for the Arts, Digital Entertainment World, SXSW, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.

Alexandra Mayo, Esq., Associate Attorney
Alexandra Mayo, Esq. is an associate attorney with Morris Music Law, PC and Music Law Pro. As a singer, pianist, and dancer, Alexandra’s love of music and performance has been a constant in her life. Alexandra earned a B.S. (summa cum laude) in the performing and allied entertainment industries from the Bandier Program at Syracuse University, and a J.D. with a media and entertainment law certificate from the University of Southern California. Alexandra has spoken at events for JSM for Artists, USC, Loyola, and San Jose State University. In addition, Alexandra sits on the board of directors for the nonprofit organization, the National Womxn of Color Collective.

Edan Sberlo, Paralegal
Edan is a paralegal with Morris Music Law, PC and Music Law Pro. Edan has always been passionate about writing and recording music. Edan has been involved in various areas of the music industry including custom composition, production music, assistant engineering, as well as sync licensing and digital archiving for legacy catalogs. Edan earned a B.A. in Modern Literary Studies from UC Santa Cruz (cum laude) and attended the UCLA Extension program for music business. In addition to being a songwriter and composer, Edan plays drums, guitar, piano, and bass.
Bernadine Sobingsobing, Law Clerk
Nadine is a Law Clerk with Morris Music Law, PC and Music Law Pro. Nadine’s passion for music stems from growing up in a family of musicians and learning how to play a variety of instruments at a young age, including piano, guitar, and ukulele. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English from UC Irvine and went on to earn her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. During her time at Loyola, Nadine served as the Senior Production Editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review and was the President of the Intellectual Property and Cybersecurity Law Society.
